These styles are created by Rich Arentzen and Tove Ohlander, the co-owners of AO Glass. Originally the design was part of a collection at a Swedish glass factory in Småland, designed by Tove honoring Karl-Oskar & Kristina, the fictitious characters in Vilhelm Moberg’s books about Swedish emigration to America. The image of the couple is made by sifting colored sand through a stencil, then rolling hot glass over it, picking up the design.
